Sleep

oh, i know this problem well - a couple of years ago, in our other house - our next door neighbor decided to get a puppy for her teenage daughter - bad idea - they left all the upkeep to their not-so-responsible-could-care-less offspring - and consequently, all i heard all night and day was this pitiful howling and barking from the lawn next door - because they had the dog outside, tied up close to it's dog house - as it happened, the bedroom was on the same level and just about 20 feet away from the backyard and the dog - i got far less than optimal sleep for several weeks - one day, at 4am - after a completely sleepless night, i drove out to my friend Mary's house, parked and slept in her driveway until 6am - when they got up - and then slept till noon in her spare bedroom! - we called the council and complained - they did nothing - we went next door - and found out the above details - not only did the daughter not care for the dog, but the parents actually had been leaving for weekends and left the poor thing out there! - unluckily, NZ is not so quick on the uptake with these - but after slightly more than a month or so of this, they apparently got rid of the dog - boy, did i feel badly for the unfortunate thing:( - i would NEVER treat anything like they treated this dog!

anyways, i empathize
Oh..my heart breaks for that poor pup, I don't understand why people can't see a dog is a family member and needs to be treated like one. Any pet really!!!

The agent spoke with my neighbour yesterday who apparently denied all noise, however there was no noise tonight so I had the best sleep. It really does affect you when your disturbed from your sleep, well at least it does affect me greatly.

:)
absolutely - any animal you chose to live with you is family! - i don't think many people think of it that way - it's a shame, really

heh - good thing you got sleep - yeah, i'm no good without it - i go to great lengths to insure it - i even use my sound reduction headphones (mostly for the plane) in bed - buffer from Steven's snoring, or construction - i have to sleep on my back, but that's better than getting no sleep at all!

:)
